MSME Registration
Udyam Registration is an online MSME registration process introduced by the Government of India under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. It is designed for businesses engaged in manufacturing, trading, and service activities to obtain official recognition as Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprises. The registration helps businesses access various government schemes, subsidies, financial assistance, credit facilities, and government tender opportunities. It is a fully paperless and self-declaration-based process linked with Aadhaar and PAN for verification, ensuring simple, transparent, and hassle-free compliance for small and medium businesses in India.

Eligibility Criteria for MSME Registration:
- 1. The applicant should operate through a recognized business structure, such as a Sole Proprietorship, Partnership Firm, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), Private Limited Company, One Person Company (OPC), Cooperative Society, Trust, or Hindu Undivided Family (HUF).
- 2. Meet the below turnover limit.

Documents Required for MSME Registration:
- Aadhaar Card of the proprietor, managing partner, or authorized signatory.
- PAN Card of the business entity and the applicant.
- GSTIN (GST Registration Certificate), if applicable.
- Business Address Proof, such as an electricity bill, rent agreement, property tax receipt, or utility bill.
- Bank Account Details, including account number and IFSC code.
- Certificate of Incorporation in the case of a company.
- Partnership Deed for partnership firms.
- LLP Agreement for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs).
- Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA) for companies, if applicable.
- Details of Business Activities, including manufacturing, trading, or service-related operations.
- Investment Details relating to plant, machinery, or equipment.
- Annual Turnover Information as per income tax and GST records.
- Authorized Signatory Details, where registration is being filed by an authorized representative.
Process for MSME Registration:
- Visit the official Udyam Registration portal and select the option for new entrepreneurs or applicants with EM-II registration.
- Enter the Aadhaar number and name of the entrepreneur as per Aadhaar records. Complete OTP verification through the registered mobile number.
- Choose the type of business entity and provide the PAN number. The portal automatically validates the details through government databases.
- Fill in important business details, including: Business name and address, Contact details, Bank account information, Business activity and NIC code, Number of employees.
- Enter the investment in plant, machinery, or equipment along with annual turnover details for MSME classification.
- Review all details carefully, accept the declaration, generate the final OTP, and submit the application form online.
- After successful verification, the Udyam Registration Certificate is generated and sent to the registered email ID instantly.
Steps for Existing UAM Registered Businesses:
- Businesses already registered under the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) must choose the relevant UAM migration option on the Udyam portal.
- Provide the existing Udyog Aadhaar Number in the application form.
- Select OTP verification through the registered mobile number or email ID linked with the existing UAM registration.
- After OTP verification, fill in the required MSME registration and enterprise details.
- Review the details and submit the application to complete the migration to Udyam Registration successfully.
