Private Limited Company Registration

A Private Limited Company (Pvt. Ltd.) is one of the most popular business structures for startups, entrepreneurs and growing businesses. Registered under the Companies Act, 2013, it is a separate legal entity from its owners, where ownership is divided into shares and the owners' personal liability is restricted to their share investment.

This business structure is ideal for companies looking to scale operations, attract investment and establish a strong legal foundation. With a Private Limited Company registration, business owners can enjoy benefits such as limited liability, meaning the personal assets of shareholders remain protected from the company's debts and liabilities.

Advantages

  • The liability of shareholders is limited to the amount invested in the company. Their personal assets are generally protected from business debts and liabilities.
  • Private limited companies often find it easier to raise capital from investors, venture capitalists, banks and financial institutions due to their structured legal framework.
  • Having "Private Limited" in your business name adds prestige and demonstrates stability. This reassures clients, vendors and suppliers, giving you a competitive edge.
  • A private limited company has a legal entity separate from its members. A separate legal entity means the law identifies the company as an entity with its own assets and liabilities. It can sue and be sued in its own name, i.e. company name.
